Lorraine Davies was born in Warburton, where she has spent most of her life. She first learned to paint at school, discovering an early interest in art and storytelling through painting. As a young adult, Lorraine began painting at the old Warburton Art Project. There she developed her practice further, placing on canvas the stories and knowledge she received from her mother and father. Through her work, Lorraine continues to share these stories, keeping family knowledge and cultural connection strong through painting.
